Abstract:
У статті розглянуто обставини виявлення та дослідження унікальної пам’ятки
переяславської архітектури кінця ХІ ст. – церкви Успіння Богородиці 1098 р. У додатку до статті наведено маловідомий і досі не опублікований документ з фондів Інституту рукопису Національної бібліотеки України імені В. Вернадського – щоденник розкопок Переяславської археологічної експедиції 1958 р. під керівництвом М.Ю. Брайчевського. The article considers the circumstances of detection and research of the unique monument of
Pereiaslav architecture of the end of the XI century – the Dormition Church (1098). The addition to the article contains the little-known document that has not yet been published from the funds of Institute of manuscript of Vernadskyi National Library of Ukraine. It is the excavations diary of the Pereiaslav archaeological expedition under the leadership of M.Y. Braichevskyi in 1958.
