У статті аналізується еволюція філософських уявлень про пізнання. Розкриваються закономірності розвитку пізнання та його вплив на формування людини через самопізнання. Особлива увага звертається на формування світогляду як однієї з форм свідомості людини. Розглядаються основні принципи, на яких ґрунтується сучасна наукова гносеологія.
